Story – Little Xerah – Chapter 7

Eldira

Xerah continued on her way, and soon she noticed something strange. The boundaries of some forests looked close, but she couldn’t seem to get any closer no matter how she tried. It was as if she were going in circles. The sky gradually darkened. Xerah left the path and headed towards the dense part of the forest. Soon, she was blocked by bushes and had to stop.

Suddenly, sharp cries and hoarse laughter rang out around her. “Oh no!” Xerah thought to herself, “It’s elves!” She looked up and saw four elves flying towards her, instantly surrounding her in the middle. Like the previous elves, they looked like children in their teens but with ugly faces and sharp teeth. They had long claws that looked very sharp, with longer ones on their feet, which were their main weapon for attacking. Clearly, they could easily tear an animal to pieces.

Just as Xerah wondered why she wasn’t being attacked, the bushes in front of her suddenly parted. Behind the bushes was a throne on which sat a graceful and luxurious woman. She looked in her twenties, charming and awe-inspiring at the same time. Her long black hair seemed to have a life of its own, moving without wind. She had sharp eyes that could penetrate a person’s soul. And the most striking feature was her beautiful hands and long milky-white nails. There was a halo on her nails, and Xerah felt dizzy just looking at them.

“You killed my elves, that’s good!” a nice voice came from the woman’s mouth. “You’ve proved your ability. You can replace her as my servant.” Xerah looked at the woman and said, “It wanted to eat me, so I did what I had to do!” “That doesn’t matter,” the woman continued, “I am Eldira the witch. I have incomparable magic. Follow me and be my servant, and I will give you everything you want.” Xerah looked at Eldira in amazement and said, “I don’t want to be your servant. I want to leave this haunted place and go back to my grandmother’s house!” Eldira laughed, “No one can disobey my orders, unless they’re already in pieces.” The surrounding elves suddenly became restless, constantly mocking. Xerah angrily said, “I won’t agree with you. Please let me go!” “Ignorant girl, you’re asking for death!” Eldira slowly raised her right hand, extending her index and middle fingers. Xerah noticed her milky-white nails, glowing with a halo. Just as Xerah looked at her nails, suddenly Eldira’s nails erupted with a dazzling light. The light from her two nails extended like arrows and shot straight into Xerah’s eyes. Xerah suddenly felt her mind go blank, losing consciousness in an instant. But her body continued to walk towards Eldira step by step.

Eldria revealed an evil smile as the glow of her nails beckoned Xerah to approach her. Her left hand’s five nails slowly became sharp and long. She was no longer elegant but had become evil. Her blood-red tongue licked her lips. Xerah’s youthful ketones and fresh blood drove her crazy. Eldria laughed recklessly, “Come, little girl, let me pierce your flesh with my sharp nails, absorb your soul and blood.” Xerah completely lost her will and walked forward slowly. Eldira’s teeth became sharp, and the elves in the sky cheered. They also wanted to taste the young Xerah.

At this moment, Xerah entered a world of pure white.

Chapter 6 An Elf

Xerah had been walking through the forest for some time, taking in the various plants and animals that called it home. The flora was vibrant and colorful, while the fauna scampered happily through the trees. Suddenly, however, the creatures all scattered, leaving Xerah alone and vulnerable.

That was when she heard a chilling laugh echo through the forest. “Little girl, have you come to be my dinner?” the voice taunted. Following the sound, Xerah spotted an ugly elf perched on a tree branch. It had long ears, gray-black wings folded behind its back, and clawed feet gripping tightly onto the bark. Its fingers were also long and sharp, with traces of blood still clinging to them. It waggled those fingers at Xerah and pointed accusingly. “I think I’ll tear you apart and add you to my belly, so that you can become a part of me,” it hissed.

Before Xerah could react, the elf lunged towards her with outstretched wings, ready to strike.

Xerah quickly dodged the elf’s attack, but she had underestimated the elf’s speed and power. Xerah found that her hand had been scratched by the elf’s sharp claws, leaving several long gashes. The pain jolted Xerah awake, and she licked her wound, deciding to fight back. She looked around, but there were no suitable weapons on the ground other than tree branches. At that moment, the elf attacked again. Xerah rolled out of the way, evading the attack once more. The elf flapped its wings overhead, letting out a shrill laugh, and said, “Don’t bother resisting. Just wait for death obediently. Otherwise, I’ll use my claws to make you wish you were dead.”

Xerah glared at the elf and said, “Why do you want to eat me? I don’t even know where I am, and I have no ill intentions towards you!” The elf laughed and replied, “It’s unfortunate that you’ve encountered me, but you’ll soon be free of pain. Let me eat you and make you a part of my body!” The elf then launched another attack on Xerah. As Xerah dodged the attack, she continued to search for a weapon to fight back. Although she was agile, her body was still covered in many claw marks and wounds. “It hurts so much! What kind of place is this?” Xerah cried, enduring the pain from her injuries. Suddenly, the elf swooped down and unexpectedly grabbed Xerah’s arm with its claws, lifting her off the ground. Xerah used her left hand to grab the elf’s leg and viciously drove her long nails into the elf’s thigh, forcing it to release her. Xerah fell heavily to the ground. The elf flew above her, looking at its bleeding leg, and said angrily, “You’ve successfully enraged me. Now you’ll taste the sharpness of my claws. I’ll tear you to pieces as revenge for the damage you’ve done to me.”

The elf vigorously flapped its wings, creating a gust of wind that sent dust and leaves flying towards Xerah. As Xerah shielded her eyes, the elf suddenly swooped down and lunged at her with both hands and its sharp claws. It was clear that the elf intended to shred Xerah’s body with its razor-sharp talons. At that moment, a mysterious force surged within Xerah, spreading from her abdomen throughout her entire body and into her arms and fingers. She felt her nails grow longer, sharper, and more powerful. Xerah’s eyes turned red, and she suddenly could see the elf’s movements clearly, which now appeared to slow down. Xerah grabbed the elf’s incoming claws, spun around, and forcefully threw the elf to the ground. Simultaneously, her left hand swiped at the elf’s wings with her razor-sharp nails. Xerah’s nails sliced through the elf’s wings like a sharp blade, cutting them off. The elf let out a pained scream, rolled on the ground, and was unable to get back up.

Xerah trembled all over as she incredulously looked at her hands. Her nails were now 8 centimeters long and shimmered with light. “What kind of power is this?” Xerah pondered, feeling the energy coursing through her fingertips. She felt her strength growing and her speed increasing. Excitedly, she reveled in this newfound power. However, the groaning elf nearby drew Xerah’s attention back to the present. Slowly, Xerah approached the elf, who fearfully looked at her and shouted, “Don’t hurt me!” Xerah sternly replied, “I was almost your dinner; you’d better behave, or my nails will shred you.” The elf sat on the ground, with half of her wing cut off, likely unable to fly. Her claws and nails were also shattered from the earlier blow. She pleaded, “Please spare me; I’ll do anything for you.” As Xerah walked up to the elf, her right hand suddenly shot out towards the elf’s neck. A flash of red light followed, and Xerah’s sharp 8-centimeter-long nails slashed five gashes across the elf’s throat. The elf tried to protect her neck, but it was too late. Her life force quickly faded from her eyes. Xerah stood in astonishment, not realizing that she had dealt the fatal blow, and that her right hand had attacked the elf uncontrollably. Stunned, she stared at the elf’s lifeless body. Her eyes gradually turned brown, and her nails shrank back to 2 centimeters.

After staring blankly for a while, Xerah decided to continue walking forward, leaving the elf’s body behind her and heading towards the castle outside the forest. Step by step, she moved on. The small animals of the forest had fled, leaving the area eerily silent except for the sounds of Xerah’s footsteps on the leaves and the damp soil.

Chapter 5: Dreamland

Xerah spent the whole day in her room without eating. She cried over her broken nails and held them in her palms, feeling their warmth and radiance gradually disappear until they turned cold and lifeless. She regretted impulsively joining the battle and not paying special attention to Tony. Looking at her beautiful right hand where the broken nails belonged, only the long nails on her thumb and little finger remained, making her hand look uncoordinated.

Suddenly, she felt a surge of resentment rush into her brain, causing her hand to uncontrollably grab the wall. Soon, scratch marks covered the wall, and then she proceeded to the table, breaking it. Ten minutes later, the resentment subsided, and she calmed down. Then, she suddenly felt a call to head to the forest where she had fought before. She picked up the broken nails and immediately ran towards the forest.

It was already dark, with moonlight and starlight as yesterday. The forest was filled with a magical atmosphere, added with the hazy light, making it even more eerie. As she went deeper into the forest, Xerah didn’t feel scared but instead, a sense of excitement. In the dim light, she saw a light coming from a pit on the ground. Curious, she went closer and discovered a small pit filled with water that shimmered with white light and beautiful colors, dazzling her eyes. Without realizing it, she dropped the broken nails into the water. She quickly plunged her right hand into the pit, trying to retrieve the nails, but they had sunk to the bottom. Xerah sat by the pit, feeling despondent, tears falling from her eyes.

As Xerah approached the waterhole, a dazzling light emanated from it, drawing her in. Suddenly, she felt herself being pulled into the water, and a wave of dizziness washed over her as she lost consciousness. When she woke up, she found herself lying on a strange grassy field, with a crow standing on top of her. The sky was gray and in the distance, she could see a castle. The crow pecked at her finger before flying away. Xerah looked at her finger in surprise and realized that her previously broken nails were now whole again, but now painted a seductive red color. She didn’t know how long she had been sleeping, but she felt hungry and decided to head towards the castle. Walking barefoot on the grass, she left imprints in the ground where her red-tipped toes had dug in. Her nails became dirty from the soil, but she didn’t mind.

Unbeknownst to her, this is DreamLand, a magical world where legendary adventures would soon unfold for her.

Story – Little Xerah – Chapter 4

Chapter 4: The Battle

Tony looked at the girl in front of him, took off his shirt, flexing his muscles and said wickedly, “Beautiful, surrender to me now, and I might go easy on you.” He laughed out loud after saying that.

Xerah stared coldly at him and said, “Are you here to fight or just talk? Be a man and show me your strength in battle!”

She formed her hands into claws and rushed towards Tony. “Good, come at me!” Tony waited until Xerah got close, and threw a straight punch towards her face. However, Xerah was very agile, she tilted her head and dodged the punch, using her right hand’s sharp nails to scratch Tony’s right arm fiercely. The scratch left a long trail of blood, from his arm down to his armpit. The nails pierced his skin and made Tony’s sturdy muscles bleed. But for Tony, this injury was nothing. He was surprised at Xerah’s speed and agility, but soon he swung his arms and got into a fighting stance, saying to Xerah, “You asked for it. I’ll make you suffer!”

Tony shouted out loud, and quickly kicked towards Xerah, but she dodged it with agility and used her nails to attack Tony’s side. Xerah deliberately dyed her nails black, making it hard to notice them, and also terrifying. Tony saw the nails shining with black light, and felt fear in his heart, turning his head to avoid them. However, Xerah seized the opportunity to turn around to Tony’s back, leaving four bloody marks on his back with a sharp hiss. Tony yelled out in pain and turned around to kick Xerah fiercely.

Seeing the kick coming too fast, Xerah crossed her arms to block it. But soon, Xerah regretted it. She didn’t have the strength to resist the powerful blow of a 19-year-old boy. Xerah was kicked and stumbled a few steps back, and fell to the ground. Tony took advantage of this and kicked her a few more times, while Xerah could only roll on the ground to dodge Tony’s attacks, making her covered in dirt and looking very embarrassed.

Tony saw Xerah’s appearance and laughed happily, saying, “You see my strength now. You still have a chance to surrender.” While Tony was speaking, Xerah got up from the ground. She felt her arms were weak and her wrists were extremely sore from being kicked. She felt the difference in strength between her and Tony. In order to fight, she stood up with all her effort and searched for the familiar power inside her body.

After Tony finished speaking, he kicked towards Xerah’s chest with greater speed. Xerah felt that she couldn’t compete with this kick, and quickly dodged to the side. Xerah repeatedly dodged, while also counter-attacking Tony and making him covered in blood. This made Tony more furious and his attacks became more fierce. Xerah failed to dodge Tony’s side kick, and was hit on the shoulder, causing her to fly out and fall to the ground.

Tony walked towards her with a sinister smile.

At that moment, Xerah felt a mysterious force moving throughout her body, growing stronger with each passing moment. Her eyes turned red, and instead of feeling pain, she felt an overwhelming surge of power that filled her limbs and body. Tony’s movements seemed to slow down in her eyes. When Tony threw a roundhouse kick, Xerah crossed her arms and blocked the attack. Taking advantage of Tony retracting his leg, she launched a flying kick that hit him in the back, sending him flying several meters before he came to a stop.

Xerah watched him from a distance, feeling the energy flowing through her feet, hands, and fingertips. Tony was struck hard and couldn’t get up. He lay there in pain, feeling as though every bone in his body was broken. He felt both pain and fear. That was when the leader of Hive5, Neo, threw his knife to Tony, who grabbed it and prepared to deliver a fatal blow to Xerah.

Xerah noticed that Tony had not moved and was curious. She approached him and lightly tapped his shoulder with her hand to see what was wrong. At that moment, Tony spun around and slashed at Xerah’s hand with the knife. She realized too late and had three fingernails sliced off.

The fingernails fell to the ground, breaking Xerah’s heart. She became enraged. She kicked Tony hard in the face, causing him to scream in agony as he flew back several meters. Several teeth fell out of his mouth, and his face was pierced by the sharp nails. Blood streamed down his face as he cried out in pain. Hive5 dared not approach as they saw Xerah become terrifying; her eyes turned purple, and her black nails emitted a dark red aura. But Xerah ignored them and picked up her fallen nails, running back home without looking back. Tears filled her eyes.

Story – Little Xerah – Chapter 3

Xerah returned to her room, her hands covered in mud and blood with flesh stuck under her nails. It took her a long time to clean them, but she was surprised to find that her nails were not damaged, still strong and sharp. In fact, they were longer than before, which excited her. She grabbed the old wooden table and scratched it through with her nails, feeling a new power moving through her body. She spent an hour cleaning the stain from her toenails, then kicked hard forward. Xerah felt her body grow stronger and lighter, enabling her to kick faster, higher, and more aggressively. She was filled with excitement at the newfound strength and power.

From that day on, Grandma never criticized Xerah’s nails again. Instead, she lovingly drove Xerah to maintain her 3cm long nails. Xerah accompanied her grandmother to the market every day to sell vegetables, and Hive Five never bothered them again. Whenever the members of Hive Five saw Xerah, they ran away in fear.

The story of Xerah spread throughout the village, and people had mixed opinions. Some praised her courage, while others were skeptical of her strange powers. Xerah didn’t care about their opinions. She only had eyes for her nails and wished they would grow even longer.

As the days passed, Xerah continued to explore her newfound strength and power. She trained harder in the woods, becoming more agile and quick-witted. Her eyes would turn red whenever she fought, and her nails would become even sharper and stronger.

Hive5 had been quiet for a while, and it seemed like they had given up on their pursuit of Xerah. However, the truth was that they were merely biding their time, waiting for the right moment to strike. They knew they had to recover from their injuries first, and so they retreated to their hideout to plot their revenge.

Vole, the youngest member of Hive5, was the most badly hurt. His arms were covered in deep scratches, and his legs had scars from where Xerah had kicked him with her powerful toenails. He grimaced in pain as he recounted his ordeal to the others, “That woman is a monster. Her nails are like knives, cutting deep into my flesh and causing me immense pain.” The other members listened intently, nodding in agreement. “We need to stay away from her in the future to avoid getting hurt again.”

However, Neo was not willing to let the matter rest. He was furious at being beaten by a mere girl and was determined to teach her a lesson. “Are we just going to let her get away with this?” he bellowed. “We need to make her pay for what she did to us.” He touched the deep scratches on his face and sneered, “I have a brother, Tony. He’s strong and works out regularly. No one dares to mess with him in school.” The other members exchanged glances, knowing exactly what Neo was thinking. “Maybe we should ask him for help,” one of them suggested.

The idea was met with enthusiastic agreement from everyone, and Neo wasted no time in contacting his brother. Tony, a 19-year-old fitness enthusiast, was more than happy to accept the offer. He saw it as a chance to prove his strength and earn some quick cash. “What’s the reward?” he asked eagerly. “Five hundred dollars? That’s nothing. I’ll do it for free.”

Tony was confident that he could take down Xerah easily. After all, he was nearly 6 feet tall, heavily muscled, and had a reputation as a tough guy in school. He was itching to show off his strength and put Xerah in her place. He agreed to meet with Hive5 in the woods, where they would confront Xerah and force her to fight.

Three days later, Vole limped up to Xerah’s grandmother’s house and knocked on the door. Xerah answered, and Vole’s eyes widened in fear when he saw her. He quickly delivered Tony’s message, telling her to meet them in the woods for a duel. Without waiting for Xerah’s reply, he turned and fled, still scared of her formidable strength.

Xerah was surprised by the sudden challenge but not afraid. She had fought countless battles before, both in school and on the streets, and had always emerged victorious. Her eyes gleamed with excitement as she retreated to her room to prepare for the fight. She inspected her nails, running her fingers along the sharp edges and marveling at their strength. She knew that they were her greatest weapon, capable of slicing through flesh and bone with ease.

She spent the next three days sharpening her nails, using a sharpening stone to hone them to razor-sharp points. She knew that she would need every advantage she could get against Tony, who was rumored to be a formidable opponent. As she worked, she felt a surge of power coursing through her body, filling her with a sense of strength and confidence.

Finally, the day of the fight arrived. At the night, Xerah donned her favorite black outfit and open-toe sandals. she set out for the woods, her heart pounding with anticipation. She arrived at the designated spot to find Tony and the members of Hive5 waiting for her.

Story – Little Xerah – Chapter 2

Chapter 2:

The New Power

Xerah sat in her room, staring at her square nails. She remembered the days when she was constantly bullied at school. She was a small and weak girl, always picked on by the bigger kids. But then she grew her nails out and started shaping them into sharp points. It was her way of defending herself and gaining respect from her classmates. No one dared to mess with her anymore. She became known as the “Nail Queen” of her school.

Now, with her grandmother’s situation with the Hive Five, Xerah felt like she needed to step up once again. She needed to use her nails as a weapon to protect her family. She decided to reshape them into sharp points once again, even though her grandmother had told her to trim them.

Xerah grabbed her nail file and started working on her nails. She filed them down to sharp points, making sure they were even and symmetrical. She tested them out on the wooden table in her room, leaving deep scratches in the surface.

She felt a surge of power as she looked at her newly sharpened nails. She knew that with these nails, she could take on anyone. She felt like a warrior, ready for battle.

Two days had passed since her grandmother’s encounter with the Hive Five. Her grandmother had been in bed, recovering from the injuries she sustained during the attack. But on the third day, she decided to go back to the market to sell her vegetables. Xerah knew that it was dangerous for her to go alone, so she asked to go with her.

Grandmother hesitated at first, worried about Xerah’s safety. But Xerah insisted, telling her that she was strong and could protect them. She showed her grandmother her newly sharpened nails, and her grandmother reluctantly agreed.

They left the house together, Xerah walking confidently beside her grandmother. They carried a basket of vegetables, ready to sell at the market. As they walked down the dirt road, Xerah kept a close eye out for the Hive Five. She was ready for a fight if they tried to attack again.

As they reached the market, Xerah scanned the area for any signs of trouble. She saw the Hive Five hanging out by the entrance, eyeing them up and down. Xerah felt a surge of adrenaline as she prepared for a fight.

But to her surprise, the Hive Five didn’t make a move. They simply watched as Xerah and her grandmother set up their stall and started selling their vegetables. Xerah kept her guard up, but nothing happened.

As the day went on, Xerah realized that her sharpened nails weren’t the only weapon she had. Her determination and strength also made her powerful. She stood tall and confident, ready to take on anyone who tried to mess with her or her family.

After a successful day at the market, Xerah and her grandmother returned home, exhausted but proud of their hard work. Xerah had proven to herself and her grandmother that she was strong and capable, with or without her sharpened nails.

That night, Xerah went to bed feeling content and powerful. She had learned that true strength came from within, not just from physical weapons like her nails. She fell asleep dreaming of a bright future, filled with endless possibilities.

Xerah and her grandmother were on their way back from the market when they encountered the Hive Five. The gang of teenagers had been causing trouble in the village for a long time, and their reputation was notorious. Xerah had heard stories about them, but she had never met them face to face.

The following day, when Xerah and her grandmother were returning from the market after selling vegetables, they encountered Hive Five. This encounter shattered Xerah’s hopes for a peaceful existence.

The leader of the Hive Five, a tall and lanky boy named Neo, stepped forward and demanded money from Xerah and her grandmother. Xerah stood in front of her grandmother, her sharp and pointed nails glinting in the sunlight. She could feel the power surging through her fingers, and she knew that she could take down the entire gang if she had to.

Neo gestured to the other members of the Hive Five, who closed in around Xerah and her grandmother. Xerah could feel her heart pounding in her chest as she prepared to fight. She knew that her grandmother was counting on her to protect her, and she would not let her down.

Without warning, Vole, the smallest member of the gang, lunged at Xerah. She sidestepped his attack and lashed out with her right hand, her nails slicing through Vole’s shirt and sinking deep into his arm. The young boy cried out in pain as Xerah twisted her hand, making the wounds deeper.

Xerah kicked out with her right foot, and her sharp toenails dug into Vole’s calf. The boy screamed and fell to the ground, blood pouring from his wounds. Xerah sneered at the Hive Five, and they took a step back, their confidence shaken.

Xerah’s eyes turned red with anger as she faced the members of the Hive Five. Her body trembled with adrenaline as she prepared to fight them off. Her sharpened nails were her weapon, and she knew she had the power to take them down.

The other members of the gang closed in on Xerah and when the first member of Hive Five charged at Xerah, she was quick to react. She dodged his attack and slashed him across the face with her sharp nails. The blood trickled down his cheek as he stumbled backward in shock.

The rest members were taken aback by Xerah’s display of strength. They hesitated for a moment before charging at her all at once. But Xerah was ready for them.

She lashed out with both hands, her nails flashing in the sunlight. She sliced through their clothes and drew blood from their skin, leaving them cowering and afraid.

And she leapt into the air and brought her hands down in a powerful strike, her nails sinking deep into the ground. Then she scratched deeply, leaving five traces of her right hand nail on the ground. The members of Hive Five were immediately scared to urinate, and they ran in all directions.

Xerah’s nails were not just long, they were strong and sharp. She had spent years training them to be a weapon. Her nails could tear through fabric and flesh alike, and she knew how to use them to her advantage.

As Hive Five scattered and retreated, Xerah stood in the road, her chest heaving with the excitement of the fight. She raised her right hand, full of mud, and blew it away with her mouth, feeling the exhilaration of her newfound power. She turned back to her grandmother and said, “Let’s go home.”

Grandma looked at Xerah, her eyes filled with pride and love. She knew that her granddaughter had finally found her own strength, and she was glad to see her standing up for herself. Together, they walked back to their small house, the sun setting behind them. Xerah felt a sense of accomplishment, knowing that she had overcome her fear and had become a force to be reckoned with.

As they entered the house, Xerah couldn’t wait to take care of her nails, to sharpen them even more, and to prepare for the battles that lay ahead.

Story – little Xerah – Chapter 1

Chapter 1 – To the village

Xerah was a 12-year-old girl, who was famous in school for her beautiful and long nails. Her nails were strong and straight, and they never broke. This made her stand out among other girls in the school who also had long nails, but none of them were as beautiful and strong as hers.

Despite her love for her nails, Xerah was not thrilled about her summer vacation. Her mother had come to pick her up from school to take her to her grandmother’s house for the summer. This was a temporary arrangement, and Xerah was not happy about it. She loved living with her parents and did not want to spend the summer with her grandmother.

As they stepped out of the house and into the street, Xerah couldn’t help but feel self-conscious about her nails. People were staring at them, and she could hear whispers from passers-by. Some of them were admiring her nails, while others were making negative comments about their length.

Despite all of this, Xerah held her head up high and walked with her mother to the jeepney. Her mother had warned her to be careful with her nails, but Xerah was not going to let anyone get in the way of her love for them. She was determined to keep them as long as she could, no matter what anyone else said.

The jeepney ride was long and tiring. There were several stops along the way, and the roads were congested with traffic. Xerah tried her best to ignore the comments from other passengers about her nails, but it was not easy.

Finally, they arrived at the village where her grandmother lived. Xerah could see that it was a small, quiet place, surrounded by lush green trees and fields. As they stepped out of the jeepney, Xerah could feel the heat of the sun on her skin and the mud squishing between her toes. She was wearing thick sandals to protect her nails, but she still felt the water from the ground staining her white nails.

Despite her reluctance, Xerah followed her mother along the muddy path to her grandmother’s house. She was determined to make the best of her summer vacation and to keep her beautiful nails as long as she could, no matter what anyone else said.

After a long journey, Xerah and her mother finally arrived at her grandmother’s house. Xerah was very reluctant to be there, but her mother told her that they would only stay there temporarily, just for this summer vacation. As they arrived, they were greeted by Xerah’s grandmother, who was not very happy to see Xerah’s long nails. She thought that such long nails were not suitable for a young girl like Xerah.

Passersby on the way to her grandmother’s house had also commented on Xerah’s long nails, but she was proud of them. She had a pair of slender hands and healthy nails, which were strong and wouldn’t break easily. Xerah’s nails were also very straight, so even when they grew long, they wouldn’t look too curved and look like animal claws. Xerah was famous at her school for her long nails, and both her teachers and classmates praised her for her beautiful and strong nails.

However, Xerah’s grandmother didn’t see it that way. After they arrived at her house, she immediately asked Xerah to trim her nails. Xerah didn’t answer, but went to her room to clean her 20 nails. In her luggage, she had a small box that contained dozens of nails that she had to cut off. These nails were 2-3 cm long and represented Xerah’s previous glory. However, because of her studies, Xerah couldn’t grow her nails longer than 3 cm.

Grandma didn’t understand the significance of these nails for Xerah and hated her having such long nails. Nevertheless, Xerah had made up her mind not to trim them anymore. Inside the small box, Xerah gazed at the dozens of long nails and promised herself to keep them as long as she could. Despite her grandmother’s objections, Xerah was determined to maintain her long nails, which were a symbol of her beauty and strength.

As the days went by, Xerah’s life in her grandmother’s house became increasingly monotonous. She would spend most of her time inside the house, either reading, doing homework, or playing video games. But the one thing that she never neglected was her nails. To her, they were a source of pride, a symbol of her individuality and creativity.

However, her grandmother didn’t quite understand Xerah’s fascination with her nails. Every day, the old woman would go to the market to sell vegetables and earn some money to support them both. She would come back home to cook lunch and dinner for Xerah, but her hard work was often met with frustration and anger.

One day, after yet another heated argument over Xerah’s nails, the young girl exploded in anger. “No one can make me cut off my beloved nails!” she yelled, before storming back to her room and crying herself to sleep.

The next day, things took a turn for the worse. On her way to the market, Xerah’s grandmother was accosted by the notorious gang known as the Hive Five. They pushed her around, trampled her vegetables, and took all of her hard-earned money. When she finally returned home, she was covered in mud and exhausted from the ordeal.

Xerah was shocked and upset when she saw her grandmother’s condition. Despite her initial anger at her grandma for asking her to cut her nails, she felt a deep sense of empathy for the old woman and wanted to help in any way she could. She knew that something had to be done, and that she had to be the one to do it.
